Ten squadrons of Fairey Battle bombers and four Blenheim reconnaissance squadrons were sent to France at the outbreak of the Second World War to support the Expeditionary Force. Using first-hand accounts of survivors, Franks tells the story of their bombing raids on bridges, tanks and road convoys until their evacuation.
