Description

The origin of the SNCASE SE.161 Languedoc goes back to the end of the 1930s, when the manufacturer Marcel Bloch developed this commercial four-engine engine, the development and production of which took place only after the world war.

Although built in relatively small numbers, the Languedoc was in service not only in the Air Force and Naval Aviation but also in several airlines including Air France of course. Philippe Ricco recounts with great detail and great precision the rather fascinating history of this beautiful device, the whole being illustrated with more than 600 photos (many of which are unpublished), plans and colour profiles. French text and captions.
