Description

From 1946 to 1949, more than 2,500 aircraft were lost through air accident, ground incident, natural disaster and, occasionally, enemy action. Casualties suffered amounted to about 1300 service and civilian personnel.

This volume lists most of the aircraft losses and records by name many of those who died as a consequence.
