Now in its 38th year, BJI is THE reference work in this field. The current edition is now in one volume to make this book easier to store and use. It covers over 29,000 airframes in the extensive production lists, from the earliest Morane-Saulnier Paris and Lockheed Jetstars of the 1950s to the latest Falcon 6X and Gulfstream G800. Projects that never got past the prototype stage or are still under development are covered in a short section on Experimental and Non-Production aircraft.

The unique index system, listing 116,000 registrations, covers all known individual registrations carried by business jets over the last 67 years, listed by registration order with cross-referencing to type and construction number with current active marks shown in bold. Additionally for completeness, the book also includes production lists and cross-references for the Gulfstream I and production lists for corporate airliners such as the Airbus family, Boeing 737, Canadair Challenger 800/850, Dornier 328, and Embraer Legacy and Lineage.
