Skidmore Jr. U.S. Army Air Corps Glider Pilot in World War II, from the 91st TCS – 439th TCG and his glider training and combat missions in France “D-Day Plus 1” and Holland “Operation Market Garden” during World War II.  His account of his his experiences as a glider pilot gives the reader a glimpse into his sense of humour as well as what life was like as one of these unsung heroes of World War II. No story of WWII is told better then one that is told by someone who was there.
